I’m an international student studying in Utah where I have been since I transferred from Florida.
I was admitted to Florida initially where I commenced my studies, but due to unavoidable circumstances, I was forced to relocate to Utah. Originally from Iran, I came to the United States to advance my levels of skills and profession about two years ago. Before coming to the United States, I worked with a local firm that specialized in construction although I was in a different section of it. My central department was the marketing department where I was expected to establish connections with the company’s clients and maintain the relationship once it has been developed by obtaining regular feedback from the clients. These feedbacks entailed the level of service provided and the level of satisfaction that our business gave to their clients. Working with large organizations for over three years increased my experience and exposure thus strengthening my presentation and people skills. I’m a flexible person who can adjust to the changing environments. To support this statement, when I came to the United States about two years ago, I was not sure how my academic life would be and therefore took time to study class schedules. Upon acquiring the class schedules, I took a part-time job which enabled me to live with little or no struggle for the first and a half year of my stay in the United States. Time management is of essence to me, and this has been enforced in my life using diaries which I carry with me. My team player skills have been proven as I have been leading a majority of the teams that we work with on course discussions and assignments and also I led another group after gaining experience in my previous task. Professionally, I can deal with many issues in a careful and resourceful manner and negotiate effectively to attain the best and most successful agreement in the process. I have high enthusiasm to learn and therefore like taking up challenges that are new to me and those that appear quite difficult to other people. When it comes to working, I’m a hard worker and a very honest person who believes in the truth of everything that I come into contact with. Although some of the tasks that I undertake are difficult and demanding, courtesy of my dedication, I’m able to organize work and take personal responsibility for the expected results of the task being undertaken. Due to my honesty and dependability, I have been tasked with taking charge of some tasks at my place of work where I work on a part-time basis. In this regard, I have been tasked with taking care of the store where the company’s stock is kept and at the same time head the team that works in the store.Just as work alone makes one a dull person, I have another side of me that is different from the professional and the academic traits discussed above. This is the side of hobbies and interests. I’m a great fan of soccer and play for the estate football team where we reside. I also love tennis and also play it at times although football is dear to me than tennis. When I’m not busy, I do set aside time to hang out with friends and interact with other people just for fun. I have a dog and she's very friendly, when on first she meet someone for first time she treat her like her owner. She's always looking to eat some food and that's motivate her to train easily. Her brown eyes make you feel relaxed and her pretty face makes you forget everything. Her beautiful long tail snapped like donuts is always wagging happily. Upon completion of my studies, I have two options. One of them is remaining behind in the United States although this will depend on whether a better opportunity arises in the United States. The second option is returning to Iran or Dubai where I originated from and taking up a new role there in building my nation and my career as well. |
One of the most exciting places I have ever visited in the US is the Las Vegas. I had all along wished to visit the place as I had heard previously from my friends about the fun that goes around in that place. When I visited the city, I had an experience of the top gambling activity in the city in the 50-year-old Caesars place. The Casino offers various games such as table games, pokers, and baccarat. I got to engage in pokers, but I was forced to learn about the game from the people who were around. I got to play the game with one of my friends who had accompanied me. The game was exciting, and I made a lot of fun from it. I was happy to defeat my friend in various games.
The day I visited the place, there was a music concert that was going down, and various top artists were to perform. Bruno Mars and Celine Dion were some of the top artists who were there. I love music and seeing the artists face to face as they performed their music was fantastic. The concert was held in a choreographed place that had modern lighting facilities that left me in a frenzy mood. I enjoyed dancing with the other guys who had shown up. I enjoyed the music from the artists as well as a presentation that was performed by various bands. Drinks were all over and partying was unavoidable. I enjoyed the cool moments of exchanging words with the music icons, and this was a fantastic moment in my life. My uncle had narrated to me about the beautiful and colorful hotels in Las Vegas. He had indicated that the hotels are conspicuous and have auspicious modern facilities that excite the visitors. He said that the hotels offer all kind of special meals. The hotels have swimming pools that are designed in special ways. He lamented that he had never been to such fantastic hotels like those he saw in Las Vegas. He informed me that the hotels had incorporated some bonding games within its compound. When I visited Las Vegas, I had the aim of proving all that my uncle had said earlier. I visited one of the hotels, and I was surprised by the high standards. Everything was amazing beginning with the warm reception and the meals that the hotel was offering. I had a fantastic swimming experience in the beautiful swimming pools. I had fun with a friend who we engaged in competition using the butterfly style of swimming. I visited the wine collection point, and there were all types of wines. They differed in terms of prices, but I had the desire of having a taste of the wine sold in Las Vegas. It was special and had a unique taste which I really enjoyed. I went out to have a view of the outdoor art gallery. There were all types of pictures on the walls. I wondered who had such kind of talent to draw and paint the walls. The pictures looked amazing, and I enjoyed taking photos posing by the art galleries. The place was just frenzy due to the colorful and evocative paintings. In history, I had read about the Hoover Dam. The information was fascinating that it took five years to construct it. I took the chance of visiting the dam in Las Vegas, and the site offered a special feeling. I was happy to see the actual dam that I had learned in history. The experience of visiting Las Vegas was very interesting to me. |
Dancing is attributed to various reasons depending on who does it and the occasion in which they are performed. Traditionally, humans dance to preserve some kind of culture but in the modern era, dancing has been more associated with people’s pleasure and entertainment. Humans dance for numerous reasons of entertainment that have become a prevalent way of earning especially for the young generation. Also, dances are performed to attract mates. Dancers are regarded as people who share two genes associated with a predisposition for being good at socially communicating. They are also said to have high levels of serotonin which is essential in boosting moods.
For reasons of personal pleasures, dance occupies people’s minds and especially in same age groups where they may take some kind of liquor and dance to musical tunes to enjoy their moments. Since the old times, dance has transformed to entail advanced body movements that require more practice, unlike the old days when the only rhythm could provide dance flow movements. |
4-USA OLD AND MODERN DANCEThe modern dance has evolved since the era has created a melting vessel of moves, blurred forms that break down conventions. The modern dances in America are extensions of classical dances that took place in the contemporary era.
The difference is that there have been various shapes and lines of classism grounding the modern dance to use of body and weight in defining the piece. Rather than taking the description of a movement, the modern dance can be considered to be contemporarily classical. Comparing Graham who tends to use the modern dance with Barret who uses the old dance. It is evident that every generation throws out the work of dance that presents before them to their best according to the production of rhythm and melody. |
